The 25-year-old singer spoke out on Miller's death on Friday, a week after he was found dead on Friday inside his San Fernando Valley home, ET confirmed. According to TMZ, he died of an apparent overdose. Grande, who disabled comments on her Instagram last Friday -- after fans blamed her for Miller's death -- remembered Miller as her "dearest friend." "I adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will," she wrote. "I canāt believe you arenāt here anymore. i really canāt wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. iām so mad, iām so sad i donāt know what to do." "You were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. iām so sorry i couldnāt fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to," Grande continued. Miller and Grande split after nearly two years of dating in early May. The singer addressed their breakup on Instagram, calling Miller "one of my best friends in the whole world." Soon after, the rapper was arrested and later charged with two counts of driving under the influence in August following a May DUI arrest in Los Angeles, California. They originally met as musical collaborators before forming a deep friendship and eventually dating, attending various events and being generally adorable on social media before breaking up.
